‘Tis the season where my thoughts turn to peace on earth and how far we’ve come and how far we still need to go in order to achieve it. Some days I feel it’s possible and other days I wonder how we’ve survived as a species so long without totally annihilating ourselves.

I see so many acts of kindness, freely given, at this time of year and it’s wonderful! Yet, the rest of the year seems devoid of the compassion that abounds during the holiday season. If there was only some way we could draw upon this season’s energy and carry it with us throughout the year, I think we might be able to achieve the peace most of us want. What do you think?

This quote rings true for me because really without a dream what would we aim for? And without the belief that we could make our dream happen, why would we even bother to try?

So when you have a dream, make a plan and act on it with the knowledge that whatever your dream is you have the ability to make it happen!

I truly love this quote! It makes me smile each time I read it. It reminds me whenever I get into a negative space and start whining and complaining about what I don’t like about my life or the world or this or that…that it is my choice! If I truly don’t like the way things are going, I can decide in each minute to change it.

It’s truly empowering to realize that no matter what happens in our lives we have the ability, the choice of how we respond to any situation and we have the ability to change it.

We can continue to complain or we can find a way to do it differently. Although I love trees, I am not a tree! How about you?
